Fathers Day and some other stuff

Time for me to hit up this blog with my observations and nuggest of wisdom again. Since the last installment of daddy Penn's view of life at our house we have seen and done quite a bit. Most notably we have fed, changed diapers and become devoted fans of Poker After Dark (currently showing M-F 2:30am-3:30am - also our typical early AM scream and feed time).

This past weekend we hosted some of my family for the All-State Football game. On Saturday we were visited by my cousins, Aunts and Uncles and my Grandma Penn. Luke and Abby had a great time going to the football and game, being passed around and taking in the sights, sounds and smells. Luke took great interest in the game and Abby seemed interested in cheering the team on, who knows, maybe its a sign of things to come.

With all the excitement of the visitors and fun we believe we may have hit a new milestone - we're on night one of Luke and Abby sleeping through the night. This could not have been a better start for me to my first Fathers Day.

I do have to say that Fathers Day is all its cracked up to be. I had an amazing day with Abby, Luke, Kim and Mom In-Law. We started off with a trip to IHOP that almost wasn't as Abby decided she wasn't happy with my choice. We got Abby settled down and then it was on to pancake heaven for sammy p. After that the family packed up and trekked out to the soccer fields to watch dad play. Abby and Luke were just happy that dad did not get hurt and we were able to get back home for golf on the couch! We got to spend the afternoon watching the US Open and are currently in the midst of movie night.

Its been an exciting few months for us and we're looking forward to Tuesday when we head back in to the Dr. for our 2 month checkup. Stay tuned for the results! Take care, Blog you later...
