We have been so bad about posting lately. Every night I sit down and think to myself...I need to post to the blog, then I fall asleep. :) We have had a lot going on lately but really when don't we have a lot going on. So here is a lengthy update on what is happening. Pictures will come soon, the camera is in the other room and the bed is pretty comfy. :)
Abby and Luke turned 22 months yesterday...OMG where is the time going?!?! They are extremely active and hilarious toddlers and their personalities just shine. Sam insists that Abby takes after me in so many ways. The gal loves her sleep (most mornings), knows what she wants and throws some incredible fits (nothing like momma-hee hee). My most favorite thing she does right now is says bye-bye...to everything. We leave a room and she says bye to the dog, book, doll, toy, cat, tv, wall, pillow, bed, light...you get the picture! Luke is such a helper and has a funny side, just like his daddy. Tonight I brought in three bags from Target and he took everything out of the bags and put it on the counter, then he put the bags away. My most favorite thing he is doing right now is saying "tank you" without you asking. If you help him with something or do something for him he always replies "tank you!" Enough to melt your heart.
They love to play in their "kitchey" and cook for us. We eat some amazing plastic cookies on a daily basis. Their vocabulary is growing so rapidly and they repeat so much...we are really careful what we say. They also have this incredible memory. One day we went to the pet store and looked at the birds and fish. They say and sign birds-fish when we start driving in the direction of the pet store. We are in the middle of taking swim lessons again...they love the water and every Saturday morning they say and sign "swim-swim" and find their suits. It seems like we are busy every weekend lately. Last weekend Sam and Luke had boys day and went to a wrestling tournament. Abby and I had girls day and went shopping. I am sure we will have more days like this in the future.
Up until the last few weeks we have managed to stay healthy and beat out the flu going around. We've battled a few runny noses but nothing major. A couple weeks ago they both developed a nagging cough but were still their usual selves. The last few days Luke had a fever so mommy and daddy gut said take them in. Sam couldn't get away from work so I braved the doctors by myself. They were both a bit scared at first and clung to me (the nurse was impressed I could carry them both). They did really well while being seen. Luke ended up having some fluid in his lungs and wheezing, Abby just has a bad cough. We had to take Luke for x-rays. Abby was so good waiting with the nurse and playing with stickers and Luke hated every minute of the xray machine. Ends up he has either bronchitis or RSV...not quite sure which but we are on a nebulizer (which he hates) and hopefully it will clear up soon!
We will try to do better at posting in the next few weeks!
