weekend started out with not one but two Easter Egg Hunts!! We decided that since we are almost 2 this year we were going big time. Of course Abby slept in so we had to quickly get her dressed to make the 9am Greeley egg hunt. We found our spot along the the outfield and devised our plan. Run straight to the back of the field and make a pile of eggs for the kids to pick up. It worked like a charm and the twins made out with an Elmo basket full of "nandy." We sat and looked at our look for a bit then loaded up and headed to the UNC AKL egg hunt. When Sam was in college his fraternity started this tradition so it was neat to finally come back with our family. They knew the drill by now and waited on the line with the other kids. Since there was not as many kids we let them run out and find their own eggs. So cute. Luke really was all about the candy and kept opening up his eggs and unwrapping.
On Sunday we had Grandma Penn up for Easter lunch. Abby
was pretty mellow when she woke up and ended up being sick for most of the day...poor girl, she never cried as she threw up. We felt so bad for her but we got some great cuddle time-the flu hit Luke and Mommy that week but Daddy stayed healthy! Not quite the Easter Sunday we had pictured but Grandma had a blast playing with Luke and we enjoyed a nice lunch.
