Happy 4 Months to Us!

It is hard to believe that Abby and Luke were born only 4 months ago. They have grown and changed so much is such a short time.

Abigail Mae is smiling and laughing more everyday. When she is really happy she lets out a high pitch squeal. She love getting dressed in the morning and giggles when we pull her shirt over her head. Her favorite thing to play with is the exersaucer. Every time she is in it she discovers something new on it, the other day she found the button that plays the music. She is beginning to hold on to things and recognizes our voices from across the room. Abby likes to pull herself up to a standing position when holding on to our fingers and she would sit up on her own if she could. She still hates going down for naps unless she is really tired. Our sitter's son, Cooper, who is 3 absolutely loves Abby so she is spoiled during the day.

Lucas David is one happy baby. All you need to do is look at him and he shows off a huge grin. We love seeing him when he first wakes up. He could be fussing and the minute he sees you he flashes the smile that melts your heart. We are anxiously waiting for the big roll over. He gets over onto his side and kicks one leg over. He just needs to roll the shoulders and he is there. Luke loves playing in the bouncy seat and goes crazy for the lights and music. He isn't quite as big as Abby, but eats just as much. We think it is because he is always moving and kicking his legs. He is so strong and would rather sit up than lay down. Sam can really get his giggling going just by making silly faces.

The babies have been sleeping through the night for about a month and a half until this week that is. All of a sudden we have some middle of the night snackers...growth spurt maybe? This past week both Abby and Luke slept in until about 7am everyday. This weekend they both chose to wake up bright and early at 4:30am...yea for mommy and daddy who were looking forward to sleeping in! We looked on the bright side and were just happy to spend more time with them. We would be doing better on the sleep part if we weren't up so late watching the Olympics.

It gets quite noisy around the house with all the cooing and babbling we hear. It is such a sweet sound and reminds us of how fortunate we truly are to have been blessed with two wonderful children. We have a doctor appointment on Tuesday and then we will have updated lengths and weights.
