Big Kid Beds

Our cribs were recalled last week. Good news is we get a full refund...not bad after using them for two years, the bad news is that we had to go out and buy twin beds and start the big kid bed process. We decide to go all out and buy twins beds instead of doing toddler beds. They were very excited as we set the beds up...Luke kept saying "big boy" and Abby liked the fish on her sheets. Our first bed sleeping came at nap time. We took them to the park and got them real tired before we put them down. Luke was out right when he hit the pillow and Abby took a little back rubbing from Sam before she was out. Three hours later we actually had to go in and wake them up. That night we played extra hard and started the good-night process early. The figured out how to work us quickly. We laid down with them as they fell asleep. Abby thought this was the greatest thing ever! She had an audience for her nightly songs and playtime. After about 40 minutes of this we got tough and left the room. They followed us and Sam had to hold the door shut. Within 10 minutes they were back in bed and sound asleep. Night two brought them trying to convince us to stay but we kissed them goodnight and left the room. This time they cried but didn't follow us. Less then 5 minutes later they were quite. Keep your fingers crossed that is is a good start.
