This year the kids had a different, yet amazingly fun, experience at the UNC Homecoming celebration. I was not able to be there because my Grandma Fischer lost her fight against leukemia. I spent a few days in Rockford for her funeral. She fought a good fight and in the end she died peacefully with some of her family around her.
Sam had a football game to coach at the same time as some of the festivities so luckily Stacy decided to watch the twins for part of the day. UNC is trying to make their events more family and community oriented. Stacy, Ryan and the twins started out the day walking in the parade. I wish I could of see it! They then spent time playing on all the bouncy castles and had some lunch. Sam met up with them and took them to the football game. They had a blast. I got home around 6:30 that evening to two extremely tired toddlers.
