Or Christa's party as the twins seem to remember it. They had so much fun that we have found them playing "Christa's party" many times. My cousin Christa and her
hubby got married on a beautiful golf course at the edge of Lake Michigan, Whistling Straights. I wanted to get Sam on the course but the green fees were a bit out of our vacation budget so we got him a polo and a hat. Maybe next time sweetie!!
The ceremony was gorgeous and Christa just glowed as a bride. Luke fell asleep about half way through the ceremony but Abby watched in awe and called all the girls flower girls because they had pretty flowers. We had some time between the wedding and ceremony and our goal was to get Abby to nap but no luck, I think she was just too excited, but she did rest and Luke had a great nap. The reception was in Kohler at the America Club...a beautiful hotel. They had a cocktail hour in a garden courtyard and lucky for us there was an ice cream parlor so we got the twins ice cream and they could run around exploring the flowers and fountains. Just before dinner Carolyn made it and Abby was in heaven to have her there. Aunt Mary got the kids goodie bags and they had fun coloring and munching on snacks. Abby, Luke and Carolyn were beyond themselves waiting for the dance party to start. They sat at the edge of the dance floor waiting so patiently. Once it was their turn they ruled the floor. These kids did not stop until we pulled them off the dance floor around 10pm. On our way out Sam spotted a horse drawn carriage ride. We decided to take a ride through the quaint little town, it was beautiful and the twins loved it. Really it was a wonderful day.
We had so much fun with the Fischer family, it makes it hard to be so far away. We always have great laughs and make amazing memories. We can't wait to see them again. Abby keeps saying she misses her best friend Carolyn.
As for our endless stream of weddings...we do not have any on the calendar that we will be attending!!! Who's getting married next?? I have two kids who love to put on a show at the dance party!
