Disney's Hollywood Studios

This was the big day for Sam and Ryan. They had their presentation at the conference in the afternoon. They headed out very early and we slept in. Then we headed out to Disney's Hollywood Studios. This park is themed around the movies and Playhouse Disney...which the twins love. After a small breakfast Connie and I got all the kids on the bus to the park where we met Emily and her kids. Connie and I made reservations for lunch at the Play and Dine with the Little Einsteins. Thank goodness it is a small park, we got a bit lost and ended up in the wrong place, but we did get our fast passes for the Toy Story ride. It was so popular that our fast passes didn't come up until 6:40 and the park closed at 7:00.

Lunch was really fun. The twins loved seeing the characters but would tell them "bye-bye" whenever they came to our table. So no pictures with the Einsteins. Our table was right by the stage where the characters danced every 15 minutes...they really enjoyed that. After lunch Connie and the boys headed off to do some of the older shows and rides and we met up with Emily to explore.

Our first stop was to meet Mickey Mouse! There was a line so Emily waited while Ellie and Hayden showed us all the cool art stuff you could do. Again, not so happy to get close to Mickey but we squeaked his nose and got a great picture. Afterwards we went straight to the Playhouse Disney show which was about to start. It was so perfect for the twins. It had Handy Manny, Little Einsteins, Pooh and Friends and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. They had a blast singing and dancing. Here is Abby reaching for the bubbles. It was so neat to see how excited they were. As we left the show, Abby walked out with Ellie and Luke held my hand. The kid saw an Einstein Kiosk across the walk way and sprinted towards it. As cute as he is, he picked up Quincy for Lu-Lu and Annie for Mae-Mae. I tried to get him to put them back but his "meeze" was too cute and I bought them both!! How could you say no to this face? You would of done the same thing. :)

Our next show was The Little Mermaid...perfect for Emily and I....one of our favorites. Luke fell asleep during the show and afterwards we searched for a spot to watch the parade. Emily has a natural gift of finding amazing parade watching seats. While we waited for the Block Party to come our way they had cast members entertaining the crowd. In front of us was a cast member with a parachute. He called out all the kids to play some games with him. Of course Abby, Ellie and Hayden joined in on the fun. Abs was the last one to leave and helped him put away the parachute when we were done. The Block Party Parade was great. More singing and dancing and they incorporate the crowd so we got invited to dance. At one point they opened up a box that had trampolines. The minute Abby saw it she ran to it and tried to climb on it. She was disappointed that she didn't get to do the jumping but had fun watching the parade people jumping. Luke woke up towards the end of the parade so he did get to enjoy some of it. Then we headed off to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. The kids played in the larger than life size yard. A great way to burn energy. Afterwards Emily took the twins for a walk and I went on the Star Tours ride with Ellie and Hayden...they loved it, made me sick.
We had about an hour or so to burn before our Toy Story fast passes came up. The Lizar's headed to Tower of Terror and the Roses' and Penn's chilled out. The twins found a hole with water...really a puddle the size of a half dollar. They played with it for a good 45 minutes. We were all getting tired but final our time for Toy Story came up. It was well worth the wait. It was a 3-D game ride where you played arcade games and scored points. I rode with Abby and she was all about shooting the balls to get points.

After that we called it a day. We took the long bus ride back to the hotel where Sam and Ryan were eager to go out and have fun. Their preso went great. The twins and I were exhausted so we ended up having a picnic dinner in the room with the Lizar's and went to bed. We promised daddy we would make it up to him the next night with lots of fun and stay up late!
