All along we were told that full term for twins is about 37 weeks. Which puts us at welcoming the twins around April 10th. Earlier in the pregnancy they were growing very slowly and the doctors told us we might not make it to 30 weeks and they would spend time in the NICU. Well here we are at 34 and half weeks and things couldn't look better!!
We went in for a non-stress test today and they babies heartbeats are excellent again. Now the conversationwith our doctor has changed from scheduling a c-section at 37 weeks to letting these babies grow until they are ready. Which means we could be waiting another 4 weeks. Next week they will do a growth scan to check their weight and see if Baby B has decided to turn. Baby A has been head down the entire pregnancy and Baby B has been stretched out across the top of my belly switching sides the entire time but has not decided to go into delivery position.
There are so many factors in figuring out when they will arrive. We will keep you posted. But right now I have just bought a few more weeks resting, reading and daytime TV.
