After eating a delicious meal and spending time with family we had to pack up and head over to the Penn family Christmas...but not before taking a family picture with Granny Penn in front of the Christmas tree. We were really happy that we could stop and spend time with everyone.
We got to Uncle Randy and Aunt Debbie's house just in time for the Christmas games. The Penn family Christmas Eve is an event like no other. We each get "jobs" when we arrived...mom's was to play a mad libs game with the Night Before Christmas and dad's job was to kiss everyone's big toe...a Penn family tradition that has been going on for over 30 years! Another fun game we play is the money game. Everyone gets an envelope with either $1, $5, $10 or the one lucky $20. Sam and I were excited that we actually had 4 chances at the $20 this year. We go around the room and steal other peoples envelopes before we open them up to see what is inside. Daddy traded with Abby (the most beautiful girl in the room) but no one else seemed to want their envelopes...I wonder why? A bit slobbery maybe? Mom ended up with $5 but the rest of the family came home with dollars...maybe next year!
During the gift exchange Abby and Luke began to crash. Luke actually fell asleep and Abby tried to stay up and party late. They were spoiled by everyone there and got fun new toys to play with and new outfits! Both babies were fast asleep in their car seats before we left and slept in late waiting for Santa.
Hanging out with Daddy exhausted from all the excitement of the day.
