It was super crowded because the Colorado weather was so nice today, we hit 60' in January!! Our first area was the kids floor where they had lots of little animals to look at and fun thing for kids to do.
Since there was wall to wall people we had to tag team looking at the animals. Uncle Doug took Luke and they saw the roosters and hens. Doug raises chickens at his house so he was full of knowledge on them. Mommy took Abby and we fell in love with the bunnies...especially one that looked like velvet. It was quite warm upstairs so we headed down to eat some lunch and look at the livestock. Outside we found the longhorn pin and posed for a few pictures. Abby was busy drinking her bottle to care too much about them but Luke was fascinated. He kept looking at
them, then at us with a big smile and back again. We headed over to the pins and it must of been cattle day. You are allowed to walk through the pins while the cattle are worked on. They were cutting hair, blowdrying them, washing them...pretty much anything they needed to have them looking their best for the auction. We hung out by the auction area for a bit and got an up close look at some amazing bulls. We then ventured up to the Expo hall and ran into the Sharp's and Stacy's family who run a booth. We were all way too tired to look around too much so we decided to call it a day. Next year when the twins are a bit older we would like to visit the petting zoo and check out a rodeo...and try to go during the week when it won't be so crowded.
