Party Time~Yummy Cake

I always had envisioned making my kids own birthday cakes. I remember growing up and having my mom make the greatest cakes for us. With the help of my mom mixing frosting colors and cleaning up my messes we managed to make Abby and Luke each their own number one cake and a little one for them to eat...aka..destroy. I was so happy with the way they turned out and even more impressed with the taste...no box cake here...made from scratch and quite tasty.

Luke made a huge mess with his cake...this was only the beginning...by the end he had frosting everywhere and was trying to eat the cardboard. Abby was very dainty with her cake and didn't eat much unless we fed it to her. She was happy as can be but then again she was the center of attention.
