Princess Tea

One of the local high schools was putting on the play Cinderella. Before the show they hosted a Princess Tea for little girls and their mommies (one daddy was there as well). Sam surprised Abby and I with tickets to the tea, we knew she wouldn't make it through the play as well. We got all dolled up for the event: curled her hair, painted her toes and fingers pink and dressed up in a Cinderella dress and shoes. She was VERY excited. When we walked in she was greeted as Princess Abby and given a new wand. The tables had real china and high tea treats. A lady from England had made amazing scones...my personal favorite. We were joined by my boss Nancy and her 5 year old granddaughter Laelani, who was decked out as a princess as well. Abby enjoyed pouring and drinking her apple juice tea from a real teacup and sampled a princess shoe cookie. When the princesses walked in they lined up for introductions right by our table. Abby was in awe at how beautiful they were, she had such a precious smile on her face. After introductions they princess came around to take pictures, Belle came to our table first and Abby freaked out!! She was not having the fact that the princesses could talk to her, not even Tinkerbell who is her favorite. :( We sat and drank "tea" and talked to each other while the other little girls mingled with the princesses. It was a magical afternoon.
