Autumn in Colorado

Growing up in Texas and New Mexico I never really appreciated autumn. To me it just signaled the start of winter, my least favorite season. When I moved to Colorado I fell in love with autumn...it is just gorgeous here this time of year. The chilly mornings and warm afternoons are fantastic but it is the vibrant colors of the trees that make me happy. While September brings color to the mountains, October brings the reds, yellows and orange leaves to Greeley...with the blue skies and snow-capped mountains in the background you just can't beat it. Today, we had a 70' day so after the Broncos won in overtime (Go Tebow!!), the twins and I headed to a nearby park that we hadn't been to yet. We parked at the far lot and took a hike down to the play area. The leaves were beautiful, the weather was great and we were the only ones there! Enjoy the pictures!
