Easter Baskets and Backyard Egg Hunt

We have given up on the city wide Easter egg hunts, way too many kids and they are over in less than a minute. This year we filled our eggs with pennies and stickers and Sam the Easter Bunny hid them in the backyard this morning, just in the nick of time too...Abby was up about 5 minutes after he finished and she usually sleeps in! When she walked out into the living room and saw her Easter baskets I could hear her from the bedroom saying, "Oh my! I can't believe my eyes!" Thank goodness for Grandparents...they hooked them up with tons of new sand and outside toys. We loved watching them explore their baskets, all the "Oh wows!" "It's just what I wanted!" and "The Easter Bunny is the best!" made our hearts happy. Since it is still a bit chilly outside this morning we are listening to them play limbo with their jump ropes and making a parade with the sticky bugs that were in the eggs. The imagination of an almost 4 year old is priceless.

May you all have a blessed Easter Day!
