San Antonio-Day 3

The Rose's and their friends decided to go to Sea World today. We thought it would be better to wait and do that when the twins are older...plus my friend Erin was driving down from Austin. I have known Erin since the 6th grade and our parents are good friends, our mom's still go to breakfast once a month. While we waited for Erin to get into town we played around in the hotel room. For some reason a king size bed is the greatest place to play. Luke and Abby were rolling around it having a ball. When Erin arrived we walked down to the Riverwalk for lunch. It was a very windy day so we had to eat inside. We found a yummy Mexican food restaurant and had margaritas with our lunch. Abby and Luke had another quesadilla and made a mess on the floor of the restaurant. After lunch we wandered around the Riverwalk and downtown.
One thing I really wanted to do while we were in town was to drive by my old house. After we gave the twins time to play in the hotel again for a bit we piled in the van and set out on our journey. Erin was a good navigator and we only missed one turn. I was amazed just how much things have changed in my old neighborhood. We use to play in the woods across the street from our house and those were completely gone and built up with houses galore.
Mom's old house...I remember my dad planting that tree in the front yard. We moved to Albuquerque when I was in 5th grade.
On the drive Abby, Luke and Sam all fell asleep so Erin and I drove around the freeways of SA and caught up on life so they could all sleep. It was so nice to have her join us for the day. We decided to go to the Spaghetti Warehouse for dinner and luckily we didn't have a long wait. I started feeling really sick before our food arrived so Sam and Erin scarfed down their dinner so we could get back to the hotel. It was not a good night for momma...I think I caught some bug and was sick all night long.
Playing in the hotel. Abby things her car seat is the perfect toy.
Finding the toilet paper!!
