Ok, so we would like to point out that our previous post regarding our kids being like Micheal Phelps came prior to any knowledge of his recent activities. Additionally, Luke would like for everyone to know that he has not taken any substance that has since been banned by Major Leauge Baseball thus allowing him to remain eligible for Hall of Fame induction when the time comes. Please note that I did not say he has been steroid free as that statement would be inaccurate due to the steroids perscribed to take care of his most recent bout of the croup.
On to more news from dad. Luke has finally popped the long awaited upper fang tooth! Abby pushed hers through about two weeks ago and we're pretty sure Luke has been trying for at least a month to get this one in. As of last evening we have clear evidence of the fang and Luke slept through the night we believe as a result of it. Finally we are in the...well, I would like to have said we were in the clear but last night Abby (who typically sleeps through the night) was up all night, completely uncomfortable and acting as though a new tooth of her own were coming in. Glorious!
Many times Kim and I have caught ourselves saying "We just can't win" and each of us has done a great job reminding the other that no, we really have won by having Luke and Abby, we are just now reaping the ALL of the rewards that come as a result of that victory! Daddy Penn out.
