Chef Dadda!

Grandma Fischer gave us an Elmo cookbook and Sam has made it his mission to make the twins treats from the book at least once a week. He has made tapioca pudding snacks and sweet potato letters. Last weekend he made yogurt Popsicles. I was so proud of him for going for it and having fun! It was finally a HOT day so we stripped the twins down, lathered them up in sunscreen, turned on the sprinkler mister and had a day of fun in the sun in the backyard. Abby and Luke LOVED the Popsicles and ate them so fast they didn't melt too much on them. Luke did take his to the sandbox at one point so dadda had to clean it off. Luke and Sam played outside for almost 4 hours before dinner. Abby came in with me and had some quite time and read books.
That night we grilled steak and corn on the cob...one of the few veggies that didn't get ruined from the numerous hailstorms this summer. It was so good! Abby wasn't much a fan of corn on the cob but Luke gnawed on his cob for at least 3o minutes. I don't know what we are going to do this winter when we can't eat dinner outside. Most of our meals are outside, cooked on the grill and eaten at the picnic table...talk about easy clean-up!
Abby and Luke enjoying their nightly bar-b-que...this is the life...and when it is all done we head to the tub and have more fun!
