Unfortunately, Mom had too work a lot this summer doing teacher training so we didn't have an "official" first day of "school" this year. Last year Grandma Fischer sent the twins new outfits for the first day at Connie's but the package didn't arrive in time this year. So we decided to dress them up for Hayden's first day of 2nd grade. We knew they would walk him to his classroom so they had to look cute...I think we succeeded this morning. Our morning routines are going much better this year than last...we have a system that works well. Luke, our early riser, is up around 6am if we are lucky. Sam gets ready before he gets up and then the boys watch Sesame Street while mom gets ready for the day. Abby loves to sleep in...my kinda gal!! We try to wake her up by 6:45 so we can eat breakfast before we leave, but some mornings the gal needs her beauty sleep and sleeps until 7:00. Sam usually makes them eggs for breakfast and then we tag team getting them dressed and doing hair. Once their "go's" are on, aka shoes, we are out the door and head to Connie's by 7:20. A well oiled machine that has taken almost 16 months to perfect.
