We're going to the beach, the beach, the beach

We don't have a "real" beach with nice soft sand but we do have Windsor lake with a nice park and beach that is only 15 minutes from our house and free so we like to go as much as possible. Grandma and Uncle Dan really wanted to go so one afternoon we packed up the car and went to the beach. The water was still chilly so we didn't spend too much time swimming but we did build some great sandcastles, lakes and rivers.

I have to giggle thinking back to the first time my mom and I took the twins to this lake. We didn't have suits on (jeans actually) and they got soaked but had fun!

A few weeks later we went back to the beach with some friends. Abby really doesn't like the way the rocky sand feels on her feet so she stays on the beach or rides in the floater. Luke is brave in the water so luckily we have a lifejacket for him. He goes out as far as I let him and plays with the big kids. They never like to leave because they have so much fun. Sam still hasn't been but we will get him out there one of these weekends.
