Super Saturday

We had quite a busy Saturday this weekend...followed by a busy Sunday. Grandma and Grandpa Fischer & Uncle Dan got into town late Friday night. Abby must of know people were coming to see her because she woke up about 10 minutes before they arrived and was ready to play when they got here. We played for a bit then all went to sleep to get ready for the next day. Luke and Abby played with Grandma and Dan while mom and Grandpa went on a big Sam's Club trip. Since we haven't gotten a membership yet we wait until my parents get here so we can shop. Twelve cans of formula...500 diapers...and a cart full of food for Sunday later we were on our way home. After we unloaded the car we got ready and headed out to the UNC football game. Sam was officiating a game so he couldn't join us but we had a great time at the tailgate and our first UNC football game. Our friend Allie kept Abby laughing so hard people from a few tables away could hear her. We listened to the band play the fight song and watched the cheerleaders perform during the tailgate. We headed into the game and Luke was just fascinated by the players. He watched most of the first half before he fell asleep. Abby was out by the end of the 1st quarter. We left at half time with a tied game but found out later we lost by a couple points.

Our first UNC game!

We headed home to rest for a bit and get daddy before we made our trek to Oktoberfest. It has been our tradition to go with the Sharp's for a few years now. We usually go during the day so this was our first evening trip and there are so many more people at night. We drank some good beer, ate yummy brats and listened (and danced a bit) to some polka music. Everyone had fun but we were all ready to go about 8:00...no more late nights for us. We were home, fed and in bed by 9.
