6 month stats

We had our 6 month check up on Tuesday and the twins are both in perfect health. Sam has been able to attend every appointment but today Joe Biden came to UNC and he had to work the event. Daddy was not a happy camper missing out and I was a bit nervous having to take two babies to get shots alone.
Abby and Luke both impressed the doctor with their happiness and movement...they were all over the exam table and giggling at themselves in the mirror. Shot time was rough. Luke went first while Abby played in her carseat. He hates the shots and was difficult to soothe afterwards. I finally settled him down, got him dress and put him in his carseat. It was Abby's turn and the crying started again. After I got her dressed and in her carseat they both started crying. AHHH!! I did not want to be the mom walking out of the doctor's office with two crying babies. Luckily, the minute I began rocking the carseats the both settled down and we were ready to go. Here are the 6 month stats:

Abigail Mae 16lbs (50th percentile) 25 inches long

Lucas David 13lbs 10 oz (still less than 3rd percentile) 24 1/2 inches long

The hardest part of the size difference is the shopping for clothes. Abby is starting to fit into 6 month stuff but still can fit in 3-6 months. Luke finally put on a pair of pants in 3 months that stay up!! Most of their stuff is summer wear but it still fits and it is getting cold here...especially in the mornings. We are all about the layers and warm blankets these days. Mommy will just need to go shopping...fun-fun!!
