Today Abby and Luke are 6 months old. Time is moving so fast in our day to day lives and the twins are growing up. Each new day brings some interesting adventures. The great thing about our blog is it allows us to track the growth of the babies. I sat down the other day and read some of the older posts...including ones from before they were born. I don't want to forget all the things they do to make us laugh or simply amaze us. So here is a list of some of the things we absolutely LOVE about raising twins.
*Mornings when they are both playing in one crib...they notice each other and will hold hands, suck on each other's fingers, pull on clothes and steal toys.
*Dinner time--rice cereal mixed with the veggie of choice is so much fun. Sam says Abby likes to eat like a turtle and stick her head forward to get the food. Luke just chomps it down. We never know what we are going to get when we sit down, except that they both get so excited and squeal with delight when they see the bowl or bib. Abby still likes to spit food out while blowing bubbles and Luke constantly sticks his foot in his mouth when he eats. What a mess!!!
*Babbling...driving to Connie's in the morning is a musical treat as is sitting watching tv sometimes. Both babies talk away with their cooing and caaing. Sometimes it seems like they are echoing each other. Abby has been blowing bubbles for quite some time now but just the other day Luke started and he doesn't like to stop.
*Babies on the go!! We really need to invest in a fence for our living room. Abby and Luke are both rolling and scooting along. They like to move in circles but you have to keep a close eye on them...the end up in strange areas and are getting faster. I think the crawling stage will be here before we know it...both are getting one knee up.
*All the laughing, smiles and screams of joy. Luke will smile at anyone, anytime. It is enough to just melt your heart. You know when Abby is happy...she screams!!
*Playtime...it seems like just a month ago they didn't really play with their toys. Now they both go crazy. They both LOVE their excersaucers and jumperoo. They will play in there for 30 minutes or more. If they see a toy on the floor they can pick it up...if they drop it they look for it. They both enjoy making the music play on their mobiles and their tropical turtle.
Abigail and Lucas are bringing so much joy to our lives!!
