Pumpkin Patch

We took our first trip to the pumpkin patch this weekend. It was a beautiful day and there were tons of pumpkins to choose from. We took a twenty minute drive north of town and of course Luke and Abby both fell asleep on the drive there. We woke them up and put them in the front packs and started trekking through the field. We picked a pumpkin for each of us and one really cool white one and some gourds...all for a grand total of $7. Gotta love the local farmers. Afterwards we stopped for our photo op next to a pile of pumpkins. The twins are getting so close to sitting up on their own but are not quite there yet so it was difficult to get a shot without our arms in it. Next year will be so different as they run around the pumpkin patch.

After the pumpkin patch we headed over to the Sharp's for Ryan's 2nd Birthday Party. He was so excited when he opened his present and yelled with joy at everything he got. His parents bought him a kitchen set because he is always trying to cook with them. It was so fun to watch him cook and grill with his Grandpa. I think the adults were having just as much fun playing as he was. Sam and I got first dibs on the set when Ryan out grows it. He also got a farm set and was excited to have Luke play with him. They both sat in the fenced in farm and played with the animals, Luke loved the cow. Too cute!!

Abby was pretty tired from the excitement of the day and just relaxed with daddy. They watched a bit of football before she fell asleep on his shoulder. Here is a picture of her taking a nap earlier in the day. Her bottom is always up in the air these days. Amazing what they find comfortable.
