Thanksgiving Thursday was a cold, rainy morning...perfect for dad to run his first Thanksgiving Turkey Trek. We really wanted to go out and cheer for him but the thought of hanging out in the rain wasn't what we had in mind. As daddy ran a 5K to work off the enormous amounts of food we were about to eat the twins discovered some new toys Grandma's friends had brought over. Mom did a little help with the cooking but mostly left that up to Grandma and Great-Grandma and they did cook up quite a meal!
The twins were ready to eat with us during our meal. Luke LOVED the sweet potatoes, Grandma made him his own special bowl, but he managed to talk daddy into giving him some of the good ones after he gobbled his bowl down. Needless to say he was a little on the hyper side that night. Abby ate crackers for the first time which kept her occupied. It was so nice to sit at a big table with so many people that mean so much to me for the twins' first Thanksgiving.
